- More than 25 years of experience in the health care industry. Before starting Bertram & Murphy in 2018, attorney Catherine D. Bertram was the Director of Risk Management at Georgetown Hospital, where she worked to prevent patient harm and also analyzed medical malpractice claims. She worked side by side with doctors and nurses to try to improve patient safety programs.

Because we have worked in the health care industry for so long, we have built a strong network of medical specialists who can investigate your case and are willing to testify if your claim has merit. Our in-house team also includes a former critical care/flight nurse, Anne D. Pile, RN, who is also involved in every case from the first intake through trial. We bring our nurse to trial to help you every step of the way.
