33-year-old mother of 3 was sent home from her OBGYN appointment by the nurse practitioner even though she told them about 2 weeks of abnormal vaginal bleeding and the nurse practitioner was unable to confirm a normal pregnancy and never checked the patient’s fallopian tubes. The patient died 10 days later from the undiagnosed ruptured ectopic pregnancy.
